What should I expect from Therapy?
Therapy is NOT one size fits all. What may work for someone else, may not work for you. It is very important to me to get to know you in order to customize therapy to help you achieve your goals. Sessions can be whatever you want them to be. My main goal is for you to feel like you are receiving what you need.
Is Mind matters mental health Counseling right for me?
Mind Matters Mental Health Counseling offers services to all teenagers and adults! I enjoy working with people from all cultural, sexual, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds. I also offer services in Spanish. I use a collaborative & person-centered approach to discover your strengths in efforts to instill hope, inspire change, & best support you to meet your goals.
Should I refer my friend or family member to therapy?
The best way for a person to start seeing a therapist is by their own decision. If you have a friend or family member that you feel would benefit from therapy, simply share my contact information with them for them to reach out to me directly.
How do I make an appointment?

HOW LONG WILL Therapy TAKE?
Everyone’s circumstances are unique and the length of time differs based on the individual and their goals. We will discuss the frequency and timing of therapy to best fit your needs.
Do you prescribe medication?
I do NOT prescribe medication. If you have questions about psychiatric medication, consult with a licensed prescriber to best assist you. Therapy is an excellent way to supplement treatment when taking medications. However, you do not need to be taking any medication to come to therapy. Some people prefer to try therapy as a drug-free method to seek help.
IS EMDR SAFE?
In order to ensure your safety and emotional comfort during, I will teach you several techniques such as grounding and relaxation before beginning EMDR. Your safety is my top priority.
